Weight n Speed

Salam...

Its 3am. Just got back from pidots room. They arrive at UMP yesterday morning, so hey...our group has re-unite together back. Only nuar is not there. Maybe tomorrow.

The whole day is a lot of fun. After lunch, we opened the long awaited thing - the CARD. yes. Well, thats our free time game though. Stopped after few round and continued after dinner until 10pm. Went back to room to do some work and after 12pm, feeling bored walking to their room and start to "cong" the card. hahaha. There will always someone that will join the game and just now it was five of us together with shahidan. The player just now is me,wang,adik,pidot, and shahidan. Wang is bringing his jin tonite whn all the good cards come to him. Pidots jin cina is still celebrating the chinese new year. Wang using jin hindu.wakakakaka. And i got nothing. Start the game with 5 straight lose. Damn it. Never had that kind of game. FYI, we played Royal game. Its the most simple game and the only game most of us know. And after that im following adiks old principle..."tak no 1, last..."...hehehe...

Ahh...about weight and speed. I always dream to have a big body as i have now, but with less weight. Why? First of all, i like this big body because of the protection it gave. Imagine somebody suddenly swinging their punch to you, with skinny body can u handle it? Well as for me, im pretty confident to take 2-3 full swing punch right through my stomach without protection. Currently, with full body weight momentum i can throw a punch that can sway the 80lbs punching bag up to the ceiling. Not full though since when i did that my knee pop a lil bit.

As for speed, i really hope that i can throw kicks like abg dollah (my silat cekak jurulatih). So fast you cant see it with your eyes.

Theoritically its like boxer. There is fighter type and theres boxer type.

Fighter type is an infighter, they usually slower, have damn good blows, fast dash and heavy punches.

While boxer type is the one using their footwork in boxing. They usually fast, using their speed to collects points and usually counter puncher (using opponent momentum back at them)

What i dream i can have is i want to have both, the weight and the speed...which is IMPOSSIBLE. hahahaha. Theres advantage for each type of fighter you be. You should be the one to decide what you want to be. Someone rooting the leg to the ground and infight or deceiving the opponent to hit them.



Me as silat cekak practitioner, avoiding is not a way of fight. The principle in Cekak is move only forward. Not moving back, neither right nor left. Only forward and for the move i encourage you to join to know more about it. And know the secrets and advantages fighting while standing straight. So im rooting to the ground.

So for conclusion, it is better to decide which way of fighting you are similar most. In case you are attacked, you will know what you had to do. Either wait for your opponent movement or you start one yourself.
