Brand or Specs??

There are many brands in the market. There is Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic and so on. But the thing is, is their product match the price? Can we get same stuff with better spec at the same price?

For me I would choose the spec than the brand. Although regarding this matter one should do a better research on the price offered and also the specs.

As an example, I was craving for mp3 player or multimedia player. I go for my n95 but being a phone and most of the time it will be used for calling, battery run out pretty damn fast. I seek another media player for entertainment during travel.

Being a staff for electronic company, I got staff price for their item. But still, for me the product is pricey. 2gig mp3 player with nice sound will cost me RM170. I look around the net and looking for mp5 player.

I found one with bigger capacity (4GB flash memory), support more format (mp3, avi, mp4, wmv, etc), 3" screen and no need conversion for video files. Can just copy and drag to folder. And this player also has TVoutput, where I can bring as a player for movie, videos, music, etc. when traveling or staying at hotels or anywhere that provide tv.

And guess the brand?? Its brand-less.ahahaha..made in china product. But still the quality is quite good.

As for sound quality, its decent enough for my ear. Provided with quality headphone the bass will just pump in. Plus it has built in speaker and mic too. For multimedia gadget, this mp5 player will suit me fine. Maybe will buy another one as present for my sister if she get good result in exam ;)

For portable media player, PMP, I think its better to buy it from internet. I do tried to look for one at Low Yat, but the seller there will just rip you off. Thinking you are a noob and they demand high price. I bought this mp5 player for RM150 plus shipping from lelong.com.my. I dont have to walk around lowyat to look for one with my taste and regret few minutes later after found another one with cheaper price., dont have to pay for parking, tolls, fuel and dont have to go out from kajang.gyahahahaha.

I dont care its china made and it suppose to be priced lower, since my budget was RM170 and I get something with more specs. Now can watch video while driving..lalalalala~

Gee gee gee gee baby baby baby~

Khadeeja - Dia Milikku

Last few week, as I was listening to KL.fm in car, they played this catchy music. Well, as I know KL.fm seldom plays Indonesian music. I ask my sister about the song and she says it was a hit some time ago. She knows the title  but not the singer.

Well, I dont even know the song exist until I heard it that day. Must be not famous singer.

Disco-like-music is kinda my taste. Plus her voice is like Anita Sarawak style of singing. Anyway, I enjoyed the song. See...I do listen to Malay song as long as its nice. Not that I ban Malaysians music at all. I just dont listen much to Indo song. Anything else will be OK...huhu.

I asked my sister if she can search for the song and download it for me (she have too much time to search and download all the malay and indo song, FYI, if song title displayed in my Skype status, it was her listening K?)

This song, "Dia Milikku" is by Khadeeja. Newcomer I guess. And just search youtube just now to see if there is any video clip...

The result is disappointing. Not that there is no MV, but the MV was done in a very bad quality...even for a newcomer. Hahahahahahaha. Malaysia's producer just dont know how to use her talent to bring her up. Such a nice voice and song...Anyway, I provide download link if you want to listen to the song.huhu...

My new hobby...Aquarium

Yay..I am now an amature aquarist. Previously I only own 2 Ikan Laga (Betta) which died in the care of my younger sister. Then I decided to buy Puyu (climbing perch) since easy maintenance. This is the only fish in my care that last this long...around 7 months already. There are 3 of them and named Giant, Sinyu and Nobita respectively according to their habit and character. Hahha~

Its been a while since I plan to own a larger aquarium, just that I dont have the money to buy one. I once surveyed at aquarium/pet shop and price for 2ft aquarium is around rm200 including the filter and motor. The price sure wont fit my budget, so I just keep the desire hidden back in my thought.

I do ask around for 2nd hand aquarium but still its either the condition is not good already or owner wanted for higher price. Until my Pak Andak told me around his housing area, he got a friend who wanted to sell aquarium since he already got too many of them. When he asked, the owner say that he is willing to sell for rm80 since he is just going to throw it anyway. This includes the stands and also the transportation cost (my Pak Andak lives in Sg Buloh). About 4ft length. Its been 1 month before I confirmed with him again to buy the aquarium.

Of course i'm worried if the aquarium is still in good condition, whether it will be leaking, or the stand is rusty, top cover is broken, blablabla. Well, its far damn cheaper than new aquarium price. Just that this aquarium does not include the motor for pump. Pak Andak assure me the tank is in very good condition...but yet I still got worried about the condition. Hahha~

Last night, 14th Feb, they send me the aquarium. Heck. Its a great piece. The glass is thick and solid, there is also partition for filter, wiring for light, nice wooden cover and its BIG!!! I didnt imagine for the aquarium to be THAT big. But anyway, I was happy. Quite dirty inside since havent been cleaned properly. Its really heavy. Solid glass. New price for aquarium this big and same quality might reach rm400-500, yet owner sells for rm80. I really thankful to Allah for letting this come true.

He is sure aquarium fanatic. Suggesting me interesting type of fish. Well, everything is too sudden. And I dont have any idea yet on what fish I want to keep. I'm not sure about maintaining of big aquarium either, and ex-owner also gives advise on what should I do and so on.

Today morning, I clean up the aquarium with my sister. After everything is set, went to pet shop in Kajang to buy water pump. Cost me rm40. Went back at home and install everything. After sure it works fine then I head to the shop again to buy some fish. Brought along my sister to ask for what she wants to have. Sadly, we both have no idea. Guahahahaha :))

In my mind, since this is my first time...its better to have fish that is easy to maintain and more resilient. So I go for a couple of Lampam, Patin and Koi. And to replace Puyu in my old tank, I bought 2 pair of cute Guppies. haha~

After finish everything and release the fish to the aquarium, I can finally enjoy my new pet fish. In my mind was, I must finish everything today because usually I only back at home after 7pm, near 8...and sometimes 9pm. I wont have the time to do it in the near future.

After everything is settled then I browse through internet to look for information about keeping fish in aquarium, maintaining and how to start one!!! Shite...I already screw up for the start. Should let the aquarium settled for around 3 day before release the fish. And let only few fish in for cycling process. But its quite OK considering the volume of water in my tank, unless I place too many fish and overpopulated the aquarium, cycling process should be no problem.

In the future, after I'm already get used in maintaining the aquarium, I wanted to buy an Arowana. Hopefully...hehhe~

Anyway, this is the picture of Book Xcess shop which is located at Level 3 of Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya. Just thought I left out the entrance pic in my post about this bookstore :P

Book Xcess, Amcorp Mall, Read More for Less

If you are looking for CHEAP!! NEW!! books, novels, biography, motivation, etc, then head on to Book Xcess store located inside Amcorp Mall, level 3. Just infront of escalator and on top of Popular.

I found this shop September last year when I was sending my sister for tuition, hanging around and looking for shop selling 2nd hand novel. But what I found was a shop that sell firsthand new novels and other book at a very cheap price.

Even malay novels cost around RM19-RM30!! But novels sold here only sells for average RM17.90!!! Thats damn cheap too. Even some hardcover novels selling at the same price. There is also promotion when you buy a book, then you can get the promoted book for only RM9.90. SO DAMN CHEAP!!

Today I visit there again just to see that they still maintain their business and the price remains like the last time I was here.

Bought 3 thriller novel, which I havent read yet. Maybe will read when want to sleep. The shop owner is also nice, she reccommend good books if you ask for it :-D

Guys, Harry Potter latest book, hardcover only sell for RM34. I seriously reccommend you not to go anywhere else if you are looking for novels. Here is the place to be. Same title in Popular bookstore or Kinokuniya will cost around RM39.90. Just now I spend RM45 for 3 novels. Hehhehe~

Its seldom I came here, so I think it wont be too bad if I bought 3 title at one time.

I do ask the owner how come they can sell these book at very low price and she answered they deal directly with the publisher. Well, I hope this shop will be more popular and expand their business by opening other branches. This will also encourages Malaysians to read more.

Last time I will be looking for 2nd hand book shop. Now I have a new place to go..hehhehe~

Yet again, new speaker upgrade ^_^

Not changing to a new speaker, just change the satelite speaker with old hifi speaker my uncle gave me last month knowing he is just going to throw it away.

Me, as usual asking for it and he gladly gave it to me. FYI, if you have any old speaker from your radio, hifi system or any sound system...these speaker never broken. They can always be used again.

What u have to do is buy an amplifier. But if you know how to and have enough time, design one to get what your ear really desire.

Next, connect these speakers to the amplifier and voilla~ it can be used again. Just make sure the amplifier is within speaker power range. It doesnt matter actually as long as you didnt push the volume knob to the max and up to speaker capability only.

My early modification

Or IF your multimedia speaker have extra output terminal (like the one i bought), just buy the RCA terminal head from electrical/electronic store and clamp the wire. Just remember not to short/contact these 2 wire together. Or you'll get very noisy sound when you connected your speaker.

My old set

Whats great when you use these hifi speaker replacing original speaker satelite tweeter is that the sound will not distort at higher level, more bass sound (as these speaker produce bass also, thus bass is tighter and can spread wider), clearer sound (larger driver that small satelite speaker) and you can play around with your sound card equalizer without worrying the sound will distort at any point. Hehhe~

Too bad I can turn up to loud only when its holiday when my neighbour balik kampung.huhhu~

New additional speaker to my set..hehhe~

51st Grammy Awards

I wonder why grammy is so interesting for most people. I only know not more than 5 songs nominated...

People with music I dont understand (heck, rap...what kinda music is that? shouting n yelling n keep on thinking u look cool while doing the act, yet actually look kinda stupid). I dont understand america's music. Common word we would use in malay is "syok sendiri" song type.

Haihh...
